Law & Public Policy Academy

CURRICULUM & PATHWAY PROGRAM OF STUDY

The Law and Public Policy Academy courses are taught through the lens of the law. Students study the history of the legal system, analyze DNA using forensic evidence, learn the methods by which our justice system operates and form public policies. Students also analyze and draft legal documents and participate in mock trials, moot court, and debate competitions.

Academy graduates are knowledgeable about law and public policy, can apply relevant legal concepts, communicate effectively, and critically assess and evaluate arguments and perspectives, while exhibiting leadership, compassion, respect, and professionalism.

PATHWAY PROGRAM OF STUDY

Our mission is to immerse students in cross-curricular law and public policy-based projects and activities, engage them in a rigorous academic course of study that provides avenues to success and impart work-based learning experiences and college and career planning throughout high school.
